Terry Whatley started the Bird Sanctuary over 20 years ago because she saw all the wounded wild birds in Orange County that needed saving and rescuing. She uses all her own money, to rescue, care for, feed, and provide medical care to thousands of south Orange County's hurt and wounded birds. At this time, Village Pond Rescue &Rehabilitation is not a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, though we hope to become one in the next few months.
